New Offices in Los Olivos

From Santa Ynez to Los Olivos

We just moved offices from Santa Ynez to Los Olivos, above Fig Mountain Brewery on Alamo Pintado Avenue, and we couldn’t be happier! The space features a very cool water tower entry stair (above, left), a bridge over the patios outside the brewery (above, center), and second-floor office space that is nearly twice the area of our previous office (above, far right)..

Although we are above a taproom(!!), it is a surprisingly quiet and peaceful space that is perfect as an architectural office. We’re a half-block west of the flagpole at Alamo Pintado and Grand Avenue on the north side; with plenty of street parking out front or, as is usually the case, parking in the back from the alley off of Nojoqui.

The Office Itself

We’re in the process of remodeling the interior space (paint, lighting, finishes, and furnishings) and will likely be doing so for some time as we get used to the new space. Compared to our previous space, we have plenty of room now for our library (which has been in the South Pasadena office ever since we moved up to The Valley), a formal entry, multiple workstations, a conference table, an art and sketch area (classic wooden drafting table), and even room for a keyboard and a few guitars. Between the Stair Tower and the Office itself, there' is an abundance of wall space upon which we’ll be adding artwork (both project-based and photography-based).

The Bridge

The most unique feature that we love is the Stair Tower and Bridge, where we’ve furnished a small table and chairs that is perfect for sketching, sharing an informal meeting over a glass of wine, or just relaxing and looking out over Los Olivos and the Coastal Mountains beyond. We’ll be adding a bit more to this as well, including lighting, signage, and perhaps a few extra chairs.

Our Front Door

Our front door is at the base of the Stair Tower; if it’s open feel free to walk up and pop in for a visit. Now that we have a formal entry area, even if we’re busy or tied up with someone there’s always room to grab a seat and relax (the view from the Entry is pretty cool, too!) until we finish up.
