Snow Hits the Foothills
Snow fell to very low levels recently, and gently blanketed our local foothills with a beautiful white dusting. While on a walk in the Arroyo, I took this photograph of two of Pasadena’s famed landmarks—The Colorado Street Bridge (center left), and the 9th District Court of Appeals building (right). The setting sun briefly peeked through the heavy cloud cover to provide striking illumination of a beautiful scene.
This location is one of my favorite spots to demonstrate the affect of properly placed (and sized) trees that intensify views by providing a natural frame—while adding foreground scale and intensifying sense of depth.
